Mandana Azadi — Restorer of antique furniture and art objects
“Every piece of furniture carries a story; my craft is to preserve it.”
In 2017, I chose to retrain in the restoration of antique furniture and art objects. I was lucky enough to complete my training alongside Master Cabinetmaker Jean-Marie Camaret, from 2018 onward, in Le Vésinet.
I set up my own workshop and gathered the right tools to give your furniture a second youth, whatever its period or style — working rigorously and in the traditional way, respecting the history and the life of every object.
Veneer grafting, marquetry, French polishing, wax finishing, shellac, bronze and brass cleaning, and seat or table consolidation hold no secrets for me. I work on one simple principle: reversibility.
